for some reason, i may have disabled my immoboliser from arming, i think it may have been when i was having fob problems a while ago and had to repair some things inside the fob, are there any fob programming sequences i have to do to arm it again, i now don't get the immobiliser light come up on the dash, when the ignition is left off for a while now.

as before i used to leave the ignition off for a while and the immobiliser would turn on, then i used to have to press the unlock button to disarm it (two button fob) i still get the usual 3 indicator flashes as before when i lock/activate alarm and 1 when disarmed/unlocked , so the alarm looks like it's setting ok, the alarm led flashes rapidly for about 30-40 seconds then goes to a steady flash still

The engine imobiliser is passive so you can not disable it. If the bulb, it's not an led, still flashes then this indicates that the alarm/imobiliser is working. If the bulb has blown then the alarm/imobiliser will still function.

change the battery in the fob, I say this cos the other week I had no end of grief - left on side of the road ( M62) with an immobilised car, waiting for a tow truck ( knew that AA membership was a landrover essential), turns out that if the battery is starting to get a bit tired in the fob the whole immobilisor system starts playing silly buggers, so 1st thing to try is a goodbattery, worked for me.
