I'm happy rebuilt 4.0 with megasquirt running in 90

Doc the video makes it sound tame in reality it's bloody loud, it's goes in on Monday to get a decent exhaust made then It can be tuned once I figure out what I'm doing with ms;)
 
Its not the noise level I'm on about its the idle, I prefer a rough lopey idle :) that sounds a bit too smooth and refined

I need to try and sort my exhaust on the V8 tomorrow, if I manage I'll post up a vid and you'll see what I mean about "smooth idle" mine sounds a lot angrier even on the old ****ty exhaust
 
That sounds awesome .. Really need get get the an engine like that in my life - im on the hunt for a V8 for my first defender!!
 
Cheers guys I have loads of pics somewhere of the engine rebuild, I will try and dig them out and post them up, driving the 90 now puts a big grin on my face but I need to keep off the loud pedal as it's costing a fortune :D;) tis a very proud felling building your own engine and then having it run, also saved a fortune building it myself, anyone thinking of doing it I'd say go for it the rover v8 is an easy engine to build, this was my first engine rebuild and am chuffed to bits:D now looking for my next project mabe a big block ;)

This is not the reason. I do not have a photobucket account and I can view the videos. ;)

I had a similar issue, for some reason it got stuck on the throbber, I cleared cookies&cache and now it loads fine.

Yep that worked, a good clean out and the vids came up :monitor_punch:

Do my eyes deceive me or are running two exit holes :)
 
Marccleave the exhaust dia is 2half inch there is a cherry bomb just after the y piece and I had a stainless steel muffler which we also had fitted more for looks really as it has no baffles in it just makes the rumble a bit louder:D

Iann I used to run the 200tdi out the side behind the pass anger door and I tried it with the first exhaust but the new one now comes out the rear,

Will try and take some pics so you can all see what has been done.
