Hi Guys-
Grew up wrenching on Jeeps but always lusted for a Defender. Drove my friends D90 pickup last week, fell in love, and finally got up enough nerve to import one here to the states. Here's what I'm getting... 1986 D110 pickup, one owner, looks halfway decent, NA diesel. Working on getting it scheduled to ship now.
I have a question... the owner says the engine, chassis, and transmission are all original, but how can I tell for sure that they are? Is there a build sheet that will say which numbers should be stamped on them, or will it be the actual VIN of the car?
Any tips you have for me during the import process would be great.
