Evenin all
A very good freind of mine has a diesel freelander,54 plate HSE.
She has noticed the heater cuts out occasionally and on saturday morning the car cut out completely,no clocks, dash lights, heater etc.
It restarted easily and she got it home.
This morning after starting the car she got a whiff of an electrical burning smell from around the steering wheel.
i've taken the colomn shroud off but cant see any burnt or chafed wiring so i suspect the ignition switch although it looks ok externally.
I've seen this sort of fault on many Vauxhalls but never on a LR.
Opinions??
