Took the dam thing back for an MOT for them to say. "oh three little bits of welding on inner sills and two bulbs" Nice I thought. The smallest one I thought I'd tackle first. Started cleaning the area and seen a small but somehow inviting crack on front drivers body mount. (Not seen by MOT man) So I just had to have a little poke at it. Body mount fell apart. Well the side of it anyway. What to do now. Thought I'd clean the area ready for welding. Oh there's a small hole in the floor. If it needs welding I'll have to uplift the carpet anyway. OMG. I put my hand through the floor. But on closer inspection it was ok everywhere else. Now i really not sure what to do. Too late to buy a mount. so thought of fabricating one. Then cut hole out of floor over the mount. Cut away outer and inner sill taking away the mount. then welding everything back new. But do I want to do this because I want box section sills. Do I patch up to get it through MOT. or do I do the box section now and pay for yet another MOT.
I'm underneath this car more than in it. All I wanna do is go Laning.
