All afternoon on the "Garden of Eden" project. Mr. Robin has enjoyed feasting on all the goodies that get exposed. Before I even got there an 8Yd skip had been about 1/2 filled. We filled it completely and then some (in excess of 10 Ton), and it was collected and another one delivered. The mini digger has been a godsend at digging out loads of bricks, rubble etc. etc.
One more day of digging, levelling etc. and then the garden reconstruction can begin. The plan is a new patio, all new fencing and a new lawn.

Afternoon folks:)

Well got me new driving license today:). M doesn't have to wear the hat anymore;) don't know why she's seems so disappointed,,,, apparently a bit of role play is good:eek:, lets leave that there shall we:D.

So the weather has promised to play the rest of the week so I will get the rest of the summer kitchen roof done, we can also get the grass cut back to length again. May even chuck some grass seed on the mole hills. Then it will be onto the next job on the list.:(

You have both a Summer and Winter Kitchen?
Or, is there on for each season? :)

I missed a bit of info of why I needed to go to a garage for some repairs.
Well I stopped & the lorry behind did not.
Both of us fine & no injuries.( I needed to see the Mrs before she spots it on forums)
This was the other lorry involved mine was able to drive & do its delivery.

Oh Wow! Glad you are all OK. Squeaky bum moment for the guy behind you for sure. I wonder what the police will say to him?

Well secured pallets. Have known many such loads to fly forward in such circumstances. Well done that driver....shame his driving doesn't match his loading!
:p

@Beneagles the movement of the pallets caused the recovery some head scratching.
As you can see they are touching the cab so your ok in a straight line but wait till the first corner

Ah yes....can see that now from that angle. Uncouple...adjust 5th wheel as far back as possible....re-connect?
Which reminds me - was looking at a walking-floor rig the other day - massive distance between cab and trailer. Pin was almost flush with front of the trailer. Is this normal for that type of trailer?
:)

I was going to have a relaxing do nothing saturday today, but that went wrong first thing this morning. I noticed a pond forming in the garding border, right on the water meter. Got in touch with the water company and they sent somebody out to investigate, and I took a reading and spoke to the billing department. Seems that based on my average usage something like £718 worth of water has escaped. They accept responsibility for the problem and have credited me account accordingly. But I have had to severely cut back a leylandi which is overhanging the meter, so they can come tomorrow and put in a new box and meter. Bu66er :(
Them fings only need a week ter grow back.

Mines set well back. Between the cab and trailer is Not much room between the pipe works & the side air foils.

No only the 2;) it’s common here, during the summer we eat outside probably 90% of the time cos it’s hot:D.
It’s basically a big outside area with BBQ in the shade with open sides for cool air. For ours we can actually close it with heavy clear sides to keep wind out if needed. We have actually had Xmas & New Years dinner in there too.
Oh and the sunken hot tub is nice to end the day/night:D.
