being pessimistic probably, I just don't want it to fall through lol.

you mean its last one? Nope needed a new egg-sauce, pads and disks, a bulb and a number plate.

so - yu have the opportunity to get a tax exempt series 2A fur next to nothing, yet you are dithering because it might fail an MOT?

but yu let your slitty fail an MOT on obvious items?

and yu are a mekanik?

no what i'm worrying about is getting it back! if I get up there and decide that I'm going to try and fix and MOT it, then find I cant / it fails on something I can't fix, what do I do then? How do I get there too, I'm certainly not spending 9 hours on a ped that does 56mph and has no headlight  Am just confused :D

hahah. yeah but its a bit different in a series to on an uncomfy 125! So I need to find someone with a trailer, and a vehicle capable of towing, that isn't doing anything friday and saturday :)

haha so I can get it to edinburgh, what are the chances that if I can get some jockanese LZ peeps about, that we could fix it and get it in for a mot and pass it on the day? Then I could drive it back, much less hassle!

i think its here :D

Wow! Gobsmacked by all the interest/chatter.

She's a tough old beast. Had the chassis welded a couple of weeks ago. All the lights/indicators work. Exhaust is fine. Brakes work. Engine was ok idling but big bang-bang on the way to the MOT station, hence the conking out.

I checked earlier and the crank still turns the dizzy so I don't think its anything nasty like a broke crank. Engine turns over easy on the starter but won't fire.

Fan and water pump pulley are visibly wobbly though, which they weren't before, so I'm wondering it the pump seized or something. Plenty of water still in the rad though.

Bodywork is typically battered but then this is a Series and has been driven like one.

Not looking for a lot of money - talking beer money here - and would be happier knowing someones going to get the old girl going again rather than seeing it carted off to the scrappy.
