i-pod connection 6 disc changer

we've got a 2004 facelift freelander and i wonered how o go about connecting my i-pod.

does anyone know how?

I cant help, but I would be interested in the answer.

probably best bet is to change the head unit for one that will hook up to the cd changer
and also connect to the ipod .. and let you have control over track changes .. playlists ..

i think there are adaptors to connect the ipod to the existing cd connection ..
but i don't think one can remotely change ipod tracks / playlists ..
plus .. you can't use the cd player .. although i suppose a switch-over could be fitted ..

i tried the fm transmitting devices .. useless .. due to station interference ..
they might work 'localy' .. but take an extended trip .. fm interference becomes a pain

for ipod .. i use a separate 12v portable sound system .. at the moment ..
i've a td4 'van' .. maybe not an ideal ipod solution for a passenger hippo

btw: there are ipod fm transmitters that can be hard wired into the vehicle's radio .. no idea how good they are ..
