I need some advice please!! to buy or not?

hello all

new to the forum so bare with me,

im new to land rovers but have always loved the look of the 110s
ive seen a 1983 land rover 110 that has been converted to automatic (i need an auto:-( using a rang rover p-38 and a range rover V8.

its also LPG converted and comes with a years warrenty through the county and defender centre, (take a look on there web site,

the best thing is that it is within my budget. question is i would be useing it as a daily car and the occational off road event, what are these cars like to work on? how expensive are parts and are there likely to be any major bills round the corner?
the bloke who converted it was an electrition for cat and had the car 8 years before seling it.

any advice will be very helpfull im completley confused wether to buy it or stick with my trusty volvo?

Mate youve come onto a LandRover forum website to ask what would be the choice of vehicle! Its landys all the way on here!

Youl not go far wrong with a landrover, Yes they may need a bit of attention every now and then (More often than not) But thats all part of the fun. Plus thier never really that expensive if somet does go, compared to some!

keep the violvo.YOu dont want something some spark has messed around with in his spare time.

Keep the Volvo and buy a cheap 90 to play with off road. Liking the look of a 110 is not enough... you have to marry it and I am not convinced you are in love just yet.

buy some heroin instead. its less adictive and much cheaper.but probably less fun

If you like the 110 just wait until you see a 90

I like the 110 too but the vehicle you have described is hardly an every day one, more like somebody elses kit car and built for a second or weekend car. I dont know what your buget is but you should look at standard 200tdi, 300tdi or td5 and take it from there.
