No it's a pile of **** or dodgy or both.
Far to expensive
Feck all mot-so it's bound to be a shagger
Only has green slip=trying to make a quick buck

I personally wouldn't give more than £500 as I could scrap it for more-but as I said sounds like a bad weather stitch up

got it in one.....

SmallZoo don't take this the wrong way as I know I have said before on other threads, keep looking and you will find.

Personally most can be managed with a spade until then.

Start looking March or April as it is silly season at the moment and pile of scrap demanding stupid money.

Yep, agree with all the above. Dont be tempted. Probably a heap of ****. Anyone that says that about an MOT is ponnochio basically. Pay 60 quid and get it through an mot and double your sale price or as per this. Dont do it mate, you will seriously regret it, escpecially with a disco 1

Having looked at a number of early disco's with my mate over the last few weeks I very quickly realised that the quality of vehicles on offer varies hugely from really nice to completely shagged. Personally I wouldn't touch anything without 12 months MOT and I would want to be sure the major things, specifically, engine, gearbox(s) electrics and most importantly on a disco ROT, were ok.
Despite what sellers claim, you have not quite entered into a binding contract when you buy a vehicle on ebay, When you win an auction you enter into a contract to buy the vehicle "as described" and that's the important bit, if it is not as described then you are quite entitled to walk away. For example in the listing the OP is asking about the seller says "all works as it should" I will guarantee on a vehicle this age you will find something that doesn't work, "Not taken for MOT but see no reason why it shouldn't fly through" If you see anything that won't "fly through" then you can legitimately walk away.
Although I might seem to be suggesting that you can bid on anything on ebay and walk away if you don't like it I'm not, what I am suggesting is that people should be honest when they list on ebay and if they are not honest with their listings then people should punish them by walking away from auction items that are not as described.

For what its worth the disco in the ad looks very iffy to me I would go and have a look if its not too far away but other than that I wouldn't go near it.

A new mot don't always mean jack ****. My 300 had a "new" mot on it, it was not until I got the tools out home that I realised it was dodgy, does it bother me? Not too much as it gave me a year to fix it up :)

Am I concerned about the next mot? Yes a little:(

I would say now is the wrong time to buy but the right time to sell, I wanted a 300 but got a 200 last April/May time. It had 12 months MOT and I thought it was a good price (£1200) but since buying it it's has a new clutch new, shocks and springs, alternator and battery all in costing over £700 but I am still happy and wont get rid :) but if I was you I would hold on till better weather and better prices

my mate (top cat on here) has just bought a seven seater 300tdi ES , from a skint friend of his, its got a long mot alloys ,leather, even a bit of tax and i think he.s gonna sell it on if your interested, its a M reg.

You might have seen the filler sticking out of the rear arches in the day light lol. I got stung with my current disco, seller said totaly sound, no rot. Found a huge hole in the boot floor, since then, new clutch, brakes, battery, rear shocks, rear trailing arm bushes, rear trailing arm the axle bracket, new water pump, new head gasket, new alty, new tyres, and so on. Take the advice of others my friend. Wish i had done alittle more home work and i wouldn't have bought a pup. Oh year she cost me a replacement turbo christmas eve. I agree with us to be fair. hold off till spring time atleast. And look at as many as you can, there are good ones out there you just need to find them. As for the ebay one looks like mine did, looked good but in the cold light of day a complete pile of ****

THANKS for all the advice..

I know I get a bit impatient sometimes and I know its probably the wrong time to buy.. I will hold on until I find a decent one from this site or another good site..

Pete

wouldnt buy owt if with pics like that - if they cant be arsed to get a couple of daylight pics then there must be a whole list of things to hide.
