yea think about it though, its still a rip offlpg @ 65p ltr i like![]()
Your government taxes it more than here Ours right know is $ 3.68 a gal petrol and $ 3.99 gal diesel. It all has to do with taxes from the government as we both pay the same for crude oilso why is petrol 20p litre is s america...?(cant remember what country)
It's all relative. Think of the technology involved in the process :-
1) Geological surveys to find the best area.
2) Build an oil rig and tow it out to your chosen spot.
3) Drill like mad until you hit oil.
4) Build a ship big enough to carry your oil to the shore
5) Fill the ship with crude oil and send it on it's way.
6) Build a refinery to deal with your crude oil
7) Buy a truck to take your refined oil to a petrol station
8) Build a petrol station.
Then you come along and pay your £1.30 for a litre of the stuff and complain.
Now do the same process for beer. Its so easy you can make it at home but you still get dicked £3.00 for a pint. Twice as expensive for half as much...go figure.
I'm with you on the foreign aid and welfare system points, but I think the immigrants are soft targets.
There may be immigrants taking dodgy cash jobs, but I only see 'em working hard & paying their taxes in poorly paid industries like public transport & the NHS.
You obviously live a sheltered life, loads working on the black in agriculture, the building trade, not to mention all the illegals living on benefits, they are even buying property and renting to the councils that are paying their benefits. Easy enough apparently to get a NI number from one of the batch of millions that were stolen![]()
Hmmm...even if what you are saying is true...who is employing these people and surely its their fault? Or is it ok for the employers to do illegal things as long as they are not immigrants too?
