Right I have a plan for the rear suspension on my 300 tdi. I'm fairly new to modifying landies so may be about to get this wrong.

I run 33 12.5 r15's and have a body lift but the rear tyres stil catch on full articulation. I don't want to do a suspension lift as I like the way it handles and don't want to get into the whole caster correction etc thing.

No anti roll bar
Extended brake lines
Extended bump stops
200tdi rear prop
+2 shock absorbers
Spring dislocation cones.

Before I spend any more money and put new tyres on the back, have I got this right? Will this set up give me more articulation without the shocks bottoming out.
Or any other suggestions to acheave what I want.

Yes .. it's what mine had fro a while .. cheap and easy to do.

PS, I have a 200 prop, almost new, for sale, make an offer .. don't forget you'll need a four bolt flange for the 300 diff. Again, a cheap, easy but very effective upgrade .. ;)

Hi
looking at you list there you will increase the articulation, except the bump stops will limit the set up on the upward travel the gain will be when the axle is hanging(a bit pointless imo).personally I wouldn't bother changing the prop not much need for it without a lift. But if your main problem is the tyres catching on the body and you are dead set against a lift I would a)trim the body or b) just the extended bump stops or both if it still catch.

I've got big wheels so the arches are trimmed and the body is lifted and they still catch and wedge in the arches at extreme articulation. I'm hoping that by giving the other side an extra 2" of drop I stand less chance of getting cross axeled.

In lieu of a 'proper, lift, you could put in some spring spacers which are for levelling a wonky landy! Cheap and not going to do much more than half an inch lift. This may help and you could get away with just doing the rear maybe. A good set of gas shocks will make it sit higher too.
