Hi, I Have a 2010 Range Rover Sport L320, It recently had a New rear height sensor but no suspension calibration. The suspension seems to be working great but when driving above 40mph I get fault code C1A07-62 cross articulation and the suspension drops to bump stops. I have a cheap reader and have included Screenshots of live data. Does this just need a Calibration or is it more than this?

Was thinking about buying a Foxwell Nt520 to do the calibration. Is it worth me spending the money and buying the reader to do myself or trying to find someone local that can do it?
I know the IIDtool is the goto but didn't really wanna shell out that kind of money at the minute.
 
I have no experience of the foxwell for the L322, we have IIDGap tool, but all I will say is if its a keeper then buy your own diagnostics tool, if you are hands on it will save you the cost pretty quick. Even if your not it can still save its cost.

You say "had" a rear sensor fitted why did they not calibrate at the time?
Did he tell you "no mate it will be fine" 🤔 .

Edit, This is from an L322 manual but they do seem to follow correctly for the L320

+1 on the gap iid.
Calibration is an absolute doddle and you can even set different height profiles if you like.
Like an idiot, I sold mine when I got rid of my l322 but now I've just bought another I will be ordering a new iid.

I fitted it myself in the hope of finding someone local to do the calibration for me afterward. Took it what seems to be the only Land Rover specialist and most recommended other than main dealers in the area to be told its doesn't need calibration and needed a new compressor at the price of £600.
I have a Foxwell Nt520 pro coming on Friday and have seen a fair few good reviews about them. See how i get on after that.
 
Received My foxwell. Tried doing a height calibration but got an error saying failed to close the front cross link Valve.
 
I don't think all L322s have a cross link valve so L320 may be the same. I believe the L320 has more in common with the D3 so hopefully someone more familiar will be along shortly.

indeed, the D3 and RRS both have the cross link built into the valve blocks , controlled by the terrain response system
 
Plus 1 in requiring re calibration

there’s also connectors / wiring that needs to be checked , sensors can also be verified using live data

if the required Vdc isn’t read by the ecu it will do a hard lock out and once that happens triggers a red dash light , along with going to its presets , ie, dropping the suspension etc to protect itself

suspension also has to be measured correctly before any adjustments are made and then after , see the system is going out of range causing the hard lock

alas been here done that after nearly rebuilding my entire suspension system including wiring

Surely if its throwing a fault that it can't close the front cross link valve while doing a calibration this also be causing faults while driving and such.

Indeed any DTC codes like that will throw the suspension hardwire if it’s not seeing the correct values at the ECM

system will basically shut itself down to protect it self by going into a pre programmed default

ECM relies on getting correct values back from various sensors etc
 
While driving I get no fault codes at all other then the cross articulation fault which only seems to come on when driving above 40mph for prolonged periods. Other than the the suspension seems to work perfectly raising and lowering. This failed to close front cross link valve only comes up while within the calibration procedure.

thks , first of all looking at the dial what setting is it on plse , also assume ur in high range and not low range

just wished to cover basics before moving onto other items
