......I am currently living in Harpenden, Herts and all my tools are up in Edinburgh and so I have had to resort to using the services of a garage for a cambelt renewal and clutch master cylinder renewal on the 300TDi. The shame.
Jai on this forum kindly suggested Autoland in Luton but before I got around to booking it in another local suggested Oak Tree at Hitchin which is closer and specialises in older LRs. I went earlier today and they quoted me £150 labour to do both jobs (me supplying the parts). I think this seems pretty reasonable. The place looks like a set for a LR themed remake of Steptoe and Son but they have been around for many years and I haven't read any horror stories about their work on the Net. So my Landy goes in on Thursday ..................................... unless someone on this forum scares me off such action.
