I realize that this subject will have been covered before, but thought I would put my slant on the idea.

Would like to add a boost gauge and possibly one other not too sure what would be best.

Now for my problem; I can't put a binnacle in the middle of the dash over the tray/grill as no doubt many will have done as the screen from the radio - sat nav covers this location when it is out. I have room either side of the existing binnacle, or could use the A pillar.

Any photo's of locations, hints and tips about the boost gauge gratefully received, like where is the best place to register the pressure from the turbo etc etc.

Thanks all

Why? Because!

Just thought I would give myself a project that would be useful as I would like to know what the turbo is doing. Also would like other people's ideas as to what is the best 'other gauge' to have. I am leaning towards oil pressure as the second.

Theres nothing wrong with fitting a boost gauge, those that think its a 'boy racer chav' need to have a rethink, I am curreently fitting one, I shall be using it in a simple pod stuck just to the left of the main instrument pod. I have upped boost on mine so I want to see whats going on.

I haven't got any pics tho as I haven't finished it yet....

Thanks Jongould and Freediscoranger, any chance of some piccies when you have the chance.

I have the tweeter speaker mounted to the A pillar, need to roughly work out if I can put a couple of gauges on the A pillar without it looking too chavvy.:scratching_chin:

I have a boost gauge fitted in a stand alone pod which stands on the right hand side of the main binicle. Its very easy and neat to run the hose from there through the bulkhead and cut into the boost line to the injector pump

I fitted mine as I also fitted a VNT turbo and you need to see the boost to tune the turbo actuator

I've recently fitted a fartometer and a clack boost gauge, along with a bull****ometer to my Sinclair C5  Just put your money in the tank and drive the bloody thing. :D:D

Glad to see you have also fitted the Fartometer (TM), just wondering how you got on and if you had any trouble with calibrating the clack boost guage?

Mine was ****.

Ive got a flange'o meter in my disco, dont think it works to good though (not when the wifes riding shot gun anyway)

I suppose you have one of those really useful and accurate inclinometers as well :p
I have patented them so don't even think about copying.

:p

Just noticed how curly the dash was, even then, now it is so bad that the massive chip in the "swept area" cannot be seen from the drivers seat:D not even a cautionary:D:D
