He is not changing bags he cannot get comms on EASunlock.
That I don't know and too true!!Yes but did he have that message before he plugged in the laptop? If he did and the laptop is not talking to the ECU other than in a garbled manner, he will never clear it.
I've had the message since I've had the car. This is the reason I bought the software!!
I used a USB Serial Adaptor I have had for years, I used a old Dell Inspirion Laptop ruinning Win7....It turns out I don't have a serial port on this laptop. Problem.
It say's "No Idle", you have no comms to the EAS. You have to have a green "good Idle" to show you have established communication.Yesterday I did the continuity test and its came back ok. A nice little beep!
Anyway just taken the valves off and lowered it, shut all the doors, started engine, and attempted to get the software to turn the pump on. Nothing!
Instead of a steady lines of FF coming back in the RX box, I'm getting 1, FF, 1, FF etc. but I've tried every come port and this is the only one that brings anything back. However the TX is exactly the same. What ever goes out is also coming back. See pic.
Any advice would be good, otherwise ill be putting the valves back on and pumping it back up manually!!
Good idle means you have a good connection the EAS ECU, it should be on constant. You have a problem with the USB to serial drivers for Windows or port address, are you using Vista or Win &?Does the green good idle literally mean engine idle or is it to do with the connection?
I'm using USB as I don't have a serial port on my laptop. Ill check the obd connector is in ok and get back to you.
Thanks again for this.

Best put them back to standard then, I have found they never need to be touched if all is OK.Looks like he has been playing with one byte and two byte delay also.

I haven't touched the values. They are exactly as the software was installed!
Looks like this is going to have to take second fiddle anyway. Couldn't start the car tonight, looks like its in hydraulic lock. Ill take the plugs out in the morning when I get to work, as that is where it is marooned, and see which cylinder gives me a shower! It better not be on the side I've just done the head gasket on!!
Ill come back to this thread once I've sorted the running problem.
I have made myself a promise. I am not giving up on this car, I've given up on many thru my life. This is a keeper.
So I'm going to post a new thread and ask for some advice.
A bit of a digression but on the op's piccy on the first page of this thread, could you connect all four air lines with 4 90 degree connectors and 3 t pieces to make them all one system connected together would you get all four level? Would this work?
Just a thought, my p38 never had issues with the eas except for needing 2 front bags.
