How to open Freelander 2 rear door - handles/fob no response

Thought I'd try to help a chap from the fl2.com forum.

Looking for any suggestions on how to open a rear door on a Freelander 2 that is double locked but now wont response to the the door handles or key fob.
All usual things tried - inc hard reset etc
The door card cannot be removed without breaking it as its covered by part of the floor when shut.

Anyone had this issue in other JLR products ?

If Jimmy the Dink was here, he would advise a coat hanger to pull on the lock actuator. But unfortunately he's doing bird for couple of months nicking police cars.

Tricky that one.
First off I'd try hitting the door card near the lock location, while pressing the unlock button. This might jog the motor just enough for it to pop the lock.
