How to fit rigid parcel shelf to 3 dr Freelander

Does anyone have any personal experience of fitting these rigid parcel shelves in the 3dr Mk 1 Freelander.

The fitments enclosed include a bolt for the holding brackets, however when you place these brackets where they need to go, there is a hole in the car which matches the hole where the brackets sit, but this hole is not a threaded hole so the bolts can't screw into the holes.

Any ideas

From memory the brackets fit behing the trim fixing clips (1/4 turn). There are then two screws that you just screw into the trip to stop the brackets moving. Hope this helps. Tony

You have to replace the clip behind the panel that held the plastic "hook" with a captive nut, this should have been supplied with the kit
