I don't care how good it is or how low the mileage, this is a 14yr old Disco and it will turn out to be the fastest way of loosing money bar none, for the new owner.

Think somebody must be high on fumes when adding the price to the auction. Saying that went to look at a 1995(n) 3 door disco, i owner(farmer) lots of respray work, mud tyres on the back, road tyres on the front. Mis matched alloys. this was september of last year. Was told to act fast as at that price it was going to move fast £2995, its still sat there now at £2500.

My mate paid £4300 for an early 300tdi disco about 6 months ago from a stealer . I didn't have the heart to tell him what it was really worth but this !!

Hmmm, my R-reg 300tdi disco has only got about 80,000 on the clock (bought it at ten years old with only 22,000) so I don't think the mileage is that remarkable really.

Also, in my experience machinery likes to be used, and clearly that disco has been sat idle gathering dust, with rubber and seals hardening and oil completely drained down for much of it's life. If a new owner takes it on and starts driving it like a normal vehicle every day, I wouldn't be surprised if they ran into some problems fairly quickly.

IMO it's a good example but not that good. But, you pays your money and makes your choice...

who ever buys it! will they use it?
my experience with cars or machinery that has not been used a lot is every thing goes wrong!
more ££££££££'s
good luck to him!

One thing just caught my eye.Looked at the ebay link. Some bits say manual some bits say auto but the pic is of an auto.Which is it. Sounds a bit like they dont know what they on about,

Well I paid massively over the odds for mine £3.7k, but it has no rust at all and had 41k on the clock which I could track back in the UK and Japan.

Still had leaks in the sunroof though.

Since then I have done some work on mine i.e. a full service of everything I could possibly think of, it does 33mpg on a run not bad for an auto and whenever I get a Snorkel to fit it (ABS bugger, everything else including a full rack, under body protection, wading kit, rock and tree sliders, cb, cooker etc) I will have spent a total of 6k on an overland prep car with 46k on the clock now. Thats about a rusty 110 Defender 300TDI.

I think its ok because the other choices would have been to get the welder out, or buy something which could not be fixed in Morocco if and when it goes pop. Mind you the Aircon has given up :-(

Mind you that is f1ng expensive, I guess its shiny though.
