I've signed up for the landyzone forum to get some advice about selling my RHD 2.5 N/A 90 (1987) ex-mod in the UK. I've had this car for roughly 2,5 years and are forced to sell it due to changing Dutch tax regulations.
Up to this point cars from 1987 and older were free from roadtax in the Netherlands. Unfortunately thing are changing and my car will no longer be tax free from january 2014. Since I drive a diesel (which are considerately more expensive than petrol cars) driving my landy will become very, verry expensive (140,- a month). We haven't even talked about insurence yet..
So, unfortunately I have to sell my car. Paying over 140,- a month for a car that barely runs 7000k a year is just to much.
Since I drive a RHD is suppose trying to sell it in the UK isn't a bad idea although it's an ex military car from Cyprus (absolutely rustfree) it has te looks of regular def. Besides that, is completely spraypainted in Libian Sands so it looks rather nice (well, a least I think is does) The car has run roughely 100.000k and has been serviced by one of the leading landrover garages in het Netherlands, no cuts down on maintanance. The car has a soft-top as wel as a metal-top (painted as well) en runs excellent (did 3000k last summer in the Spanish pyrenees with no probs)
(starts to look like an ad)
So how much would a car like this go for in the UK? (and I know the 2.5N/a isn't particularly popular) And where would I go to try to sell such a car?
