I'm trying to sort out the lights on the replacement rear tub and it's got the later style lights. with the tiny pin connectors. Unfortunately My 90 Has the earlier style bullet connectors. So I've just got the part numbers and had a scout around and the 4 plugs with an extension tail, is going to cost near enough £50+VAT +P&P   for 4 bits of wire and 4 ****ty plastic connectors

Anyone know a cheap supplier or anyone got a scrap 90/110 with these type of lights that wants to sell the plugs ??? they look like this.

Just cut the plugs off and stick new bullet connectors on Red;) :D

I've got the bullet connectors on the harness, but the lamps are the new type so the harness won't plug into the light fittings There's no wires coming from the lamps.:(

I need the plugs to plug into the lamps then I can cut the wires and fit bullet connectors to them.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to replace the lamps on the tub with the older type?

Yes But I'm going to have to solder a wire from the earth terminal on each lamp as hole in the new tub is bigger and the self tapper that goes thru the earth terminal misses the tub now. Thought if anyone had the plugs it would make life simpler and I'd be able to use the newer lamp fittings.

Give the part numbers red and i'll see what i can do, £50 +vat sound fookin expensive .

Did ya get your bit today?

Yes but it hasn't helped. I've PM'd you..

Part numbers for the plugs are

stc1188 indicator lamps extension harness x 2
stc 1189 tail/stop lamp extension harness x 2 (may have been superceeded by part no STC4637)

I had this problem too, and the newer ones have a fatter body. Ended up having to file the hole bigger and then I just cut the connector blocks off and crimped the wires together - simple!
