Alot of you lot are into the horse scene or know people that are...

we are after a horse box trailer thing, reasonably large to handle around 17h high horses or so. Preferably something like a rice trailer but not particuarly fussed.

anyone know of one going?

its not for a horse lol if i was going to transport a horse it would just be to the nearest glue factory. (though i best not say that in front of our little girl who right this second is on her horseriding lessons)

Theres usually loads on ebay but i think its the wrong time of year and its gone a bit quiet.

What's your budget? You can get old rices fairly cheap, especially ones that need a bit of work, say, a bigger one for larger horses £700 ish.

Anything horse related is overpriced though. I should know :D

ah cheers guys

its basically for transporting motorbikes, furniture, business equipment in a more subtle way.

We probably will end up with some horses as I have always wanted to get back into it, the mrs likes em and the children are adoring learning, so.... best get the wallet out.

just got one of tinterweb a rice for £300. Needs a bit of paint but ill spray it to match the 110 ... when i paint that!

Great trailers, last for ever :D

Just dont use ply if you replace the floor, they weren't designed for it

thats what i thought :) needs a good paint. But id want it to match the landy because its going to be part of our business anyway.

marine ply or the ply for back ov vans is fine..expensive but fine

Not for the Rice ones, the gap between the supports is too big. They were designed for tongue and groove front to back first. Or you can weld on some more supports.

Aluminium is better anyway, too many horses put a leg through trailer floors with wood.

True. My ol Rice has T&G wood but I had it reinforced with extra struts welded underneath.

As for paint. Silver and black Hammerite and a paintbrush :D
