Hi,

I have just bought a pair of horns from eBay which the owner said 'They will fit the Freelander till 2005 models' but alas neither one fits my Freelander MK1. The connector on the horns seems a little too big to squeeze into the connector that I have.

Do they do different connectors?

Thanks,

bigroo

just cut it off and crimp the new one on

Easy, if you know which ones to use

And/or the male version of it as well.;)

Land Rover haven't used Lucar terminals (and never THAT type :( ) on sensors and devices, for several years.

Almost everything now uses environmentally sealed connectors in the loom, the mating half of which, is moulded as part of the sensor or device.

Can anyone offer an insight please, it would really help? Thank you

bigroo

:nopics:

Can you post a picture (or two) of the connectors on your 'new' horns, as well as the connectors on your Freelander's loom?

You should have Grey AMP Sealed MQS connectors on your loom and, as you've said that your 'new' horns connectors are too big, they sound like ( :) ) they might be from a Discovery, which uses AMP EconoSeal connectors.
