hello everyone
could do with a little advice. l have a freelander 2 hse automatic . the top intercooler hose split ive bought 2 seperate ones off the internet niether seems to fit the new ones seem to have a slightly larger hole on the bottom of the pipe and smaller on the top the top of the pipe wont fit . The old pipe has same size hole top and bottom and fits back on no problem. are there two types of pipe if so could anyone send me the part number sorry if my post rambles a bit many thanks in advance

There is only one design of boost hoses. Unfortunately aftermarket hoses don't always fit. I used silicone hoses, which were on the tight side, but that's better than them being loose. I changed both front hoses to eliminate the issue completely. Unfortunately the front bumper needs removing to fit the lower hose, but it should be a fin n forget operation.

Just a thought. Are You talking about the short hose at the throttle body? If so that one does have different sizes at each end, so it only fits one way round.

Actually thinking about it, both hoses have different sides on the ends, but the lower hose can only fit round one way.

the short hose the thing is the old hose seems to fit no bother the new one doesnt anyway ive ordered a silicon one if that fails to fit then its me thats the problem thanks for your prompt reply and taking the time and effort to help people like you on these forums are a godsend

The hoses are tight, especially onto the throttle body. It definitely takes a good pull to get it seated fully.
