and I thought living next to the sea was bad for anything a magnet sticks to,

re:-
DONT **** IN MY POCKET AN TELL ME ITS RAINING
thought this only happens to my 6 & 7th seated passengers when it does rain.
long story this but, hero me decieded to undo the couple of small screws that holds early sun roof lock in place, took glass out to clean rubber seals, so put glass on floor leaning on side.
meself standing in now big hole in rear roof cleaning cruddy rubbers, knocked nice glass a tiny bit with foot, for it to slowly slide out of back onto concrete floor in a mighty shower of glinting fragments..
Dooohhhh....
hurredly found piece of clear plexiglass, cut cardboard templete for size, transfurred onto plexyglass and cut, clear siliconed it into place with a bit of weight on sides to keep slight curve.
well, thats lasted for about a year now, but started leaking again so,
thinking of sizing up a cut sheet of zinc plated sheet steel, giving it 2 good coats of oil based black to match disco, rip the rest of rear sunroof out, then use car body repairs polyurethein "glue" to stick/cover/painted metal plate over hole!
inside, cut piece of near enough same colour carpet to fit shape left in roof lining!
glue into place?
good idea or not?
