he took the log book and renewal put them in the scanner and then started to write the tax disc for a year
i had to sign the v5 which he said i would get a new 1 3/4 weeks

Welcome to the world of free car tax :D

Although this new rolling date thing has just devalued my collection! But, i'm glad it's helping more owners again :)

My renewal just came through for the Spitfire and for the first time ever they hadn't pre-ticked the 12 months box, but, then when i went to do it online there wasn't a 6 month option (which is obvious)

So... I thought they'd abolished the actual tax discs, but, sounds like you were given one?

October this year is when the tax discs go in the bin.

Unfortunately my tratter is a '92 so may have to wait a while for this benefit.
