Really need help losing the plot on this one
Changing the high pressure fuel pump got the right removal tool from draper , followed the instructions to the letter , have screwed in outer sleeve into side of engine sits lovely n snug , inner piece I’ve screwed in and nipped it up , have put the bolt in place have screwed all the way down and it just touched the end on the tapered end of pump , also done a depth test with a 1/4 “ small extension bar to see if it’s me but as above just touches the end on the pump , can any one help really lost many thanks in advance Rob

There was a thread on here about it somewhere. The bolt in some of the tools is too short ?

Also when you fit the outer sleeve, do it finger tight, and then back off 1/2 to 1 turn. Then fit the inner part, making sure it's fully home in the sprocket. If not the bolt will definitely be too short.
