P38A High / Low strange problem

Good evening Guru's

Currently off work after knee op so I'm fixing small problems that I can get at. I cleaned out the connectors on the high/low motor and all was well. 2 or 3 beeps and clunk. Low, 2 or 3 beeps, clunk high. Job well done pat self on the back.

Or so I thought.....

Has anyone any idea why the high / low works when the vehicle is cold but once it's been running all I get is Beep beep beep beep and it won't shift, just stays in high?

Get used to the glitches, I had 64mpg the other week at 70mph. Then I had the low high box couldn't make up its mind, high box with L and then low box with H on the display. Also held in 3rd gear on the motorway and then some days nothing to report... Great car just made by land rover... Get ready for the stones...
