Just swapped the insurance from my 16v Clio on to the Disco.
1994 Renault Clio 16v nought to sixty in about 7 secs and about 130 mph. = £126 per year fully comp
1994 Disco 200tdi nought to sixty ...a long time and top speed ? well , how brave are you? = 200 quid per year fully comp

What's goin on:rolleyes:

if ya crash its gunna be a write arf cos its rusty so thats why defenders are cheaper.

4x4's are getting higher premiums because of global warming, if ya want cheap insurance ya need an eleccy car that does no damage to the planet at all ( obviously apart from the lithium, the lithium teatment, the steel production, the transport round the world, fiddlers ferry to charge the bastard and you will look like a tool:D)
got told by a m8 who's just jacked with an insurance company.

Don't know the group unless they made a mistake when I insured the Clio and thought it was just an ordinary clio cause they nearly all 16v now.
Anyway when I was changing it over to the Disco she said, hang on it's flagging up unisurable for me. She came back a minute later and said Oh, it's ok now but loadsa money.
Me 110 is only just over the hundred mark so can't understand it.

HALIFAX btw

phone round for quotes then call em back and cancel it,loads of insurance companies out there clamouring for business. might make em buck there ideas up a bit if nothing else

Adrian flux kept me hangin on the phone so I hung up, NFU quoted me 400 quid for me 110 so I didn't bother with them either.
Went on price comparison for the 110 and got for just over 100 quid.
Been with Halifax for years for my main car and they have been reasonable so I thought just change it over. here is a clause stating that it costs to cancell so maybe I'll have to stay with them for another 9 months till it runs out.

I used to be with direct line paying about 180 quid fully comp. Did some searching and now paying 88 quid with swinton. '94 200tdi disco.

would not go fully comp because lot of ins. will write a disco off for stupid little reasons. I got rear ended and they wanted to write mine off for a bumper, told them to shove my claim where sun dont shine and fixed myself. come renewal i went elswere and saved few quid

a lot of companies like or dislike certain types of vehicle. obviously yours not like discos like my old one didnt. i changed to adrian flux and saved me £400 a year
