Hello,
Tbh I'm not sure what to write so...
I've finally got myself a Series 3 for my 40th its a diesel and its going to be a long term project as it needs a new chassis and some bulkhead repairs (or replacement) but don't they all need a bit of TLC lol but its what I wanted to stop me being bored after work. I'm a bit of a newbie to Landy's so I've brought a few manuals and parts catalogues,

thanks for reading this and im looking forward to all your suggestions in the future :)
John

Hey! an S3 owner at last amongst all the gaylanders! Welcome. Hope the project goes well and you get to enjoy your landy. What's with the Union Jack on the side panels? Good start buying the manuals...do not rely on the Haynes if you've got one hopefully you have a LR workshop and parts manual.

Hey,
well I only got the landy two weeks ago and the union jack on the side panels came with it, the misses likes it but tbh i'm thinking of getting rid of them. I have got a Haynes manual and a LR workshop and Parts manual too. Waiting for a new lift pump so i can get her started then at least i can get her in the garage. whilst i save for a new chassis, I'm thinking of getting another pair of axles so i can build the new chassis with new springs etc...

Yeah that sounds like a sensible way to start if you can get hold axles and you know their history. TBH I'd get rid of the UJ paint job.
