hi guys thought i would say a quick hello . im new to landys so im sure there will be a few questions from me , anyway the name is martin and im in somerset so there is plenty of mud 
im picking up a disco 1 in the coming week , its a 2l mpi petrol (yes i know its not the best engine) but its a friends from work who has had it for 18 years and is very tidy . but it has a head gasket gone ! so the plan is to get the head off and go from there , if its just the gasket then i will fix it and drive it if more terminal then will prob put a 200 tdi in it . fingers crossed i should have a lift kit sorted too .
im more a vag man of recent years having owned a few different golfs etc

so im not bothered with getting the spanners out
