Just joined the group as am having problems with my trusty(ish) 1999 disco 2 td5. Can i pick brains ref rear airbags. An old issue i know but i'm struggling. I know what isn't the problem. Rear suspension has settled on bumpstops, bags aren't leaking. Checked bonnet fuse and relay, passenger fuse, hotwired pump and it works. Car will raise on the extended switch, will stay inflated, pass side higher than drivers. All doors etc shut but pump will not run. No previous probs since i got it in feb. Any ideas anyone please?

Are you SURE there are no leaks?

Soapy water test etc ...

Pretty sure, jacked it up using switch yesterday, still at the same height this morning, bit lopsided, when airbags were deflated yesterday the compressor didn't run at all. Wouldn't the compressor run to try to raise the rear?.

A further question. Been under the vehicle this morning pulling bits off. This is the state of play, anyone any ideas?.
Start vehicle and run in neutral with all doors shut, no compressor, sits on bumpstops. Vehicle will jack up n/s only airbag using dash switch. So compressor works. Took valve block to bits as when compressor runs no air coming out of o/s pipe when disconnected. Took solenoids out of block, hotwired them and they both work.
SO.... question is, why doesnt comp run when car starts?. Is o/s chassis switch u/s so that solonoid doesnt open?, would this cause rear end not to do anything?. Fault light not illuminated. No prior suspension probs at all since purchase in jan
