Hi All...
Just joined and am looking forward to getting involved!

Just acquired a very nice Freelander Td4 2002 3 Door Hardback in Black. Nice....
Good wagon, but with a few niggles which need sorting.

Central Locking locks all doors but only opens drivers door
Rattle from lower right a low revs, sounds like loos body panels? irritating but drives no problem, graunchy rear brake drums (new pads and drum on order)
No Roof rails, rare as rocking horse poo!! or mega bucks (anyone with some at sensible prices get in touch!)

But a Great engine sweet and smooth, nice gearbox, tidy body, suspension, steering and interior.
Really looking forward to going off road - not Defender styleee of course.. :)

Nicked it cheap especially as it had a new clutch and flyweel 6 months ago, new tyres, front discs and pads & 12 months MOT.
100k miles for £1895 well pleased....

Look forward to being part of the forum qnd joing the debates!

Welcome, I recently got me a TD4 too. They drive great :)

With your door locking, generally clicking once on lock locks all doors. Pressing unlock once opens the drivers side door and pressing the open button again opens all doors.
I don't know if something is broken, but I thought I'd mention it in case you did not try pressing the button twice.

Edit: Just saw your post in the freelander forum. Please forget my press the button twice remark :)

Thanks for the reply Pelskikker.

Someone else mentioned your 'press twice' idea? I was hopeful that was it....
Didn't work so suspect some else is wonky.

When I find out what it is will post the fix....
