Hey guys new to landy zone but already loving the stacks of info, banter and same minded atmosphere! Currently driving a 99 td5 disco with a 2" lift and the back seats removed making it the most luxurious work truck I've owned! Grown up with every branch of the family having a defender 90 300tdi each one getting its own kind of abuse, from typical farmers pickup to county to (hate to say) fishermans truck (salt air exposure to the max). The disco gets used as my main truck for supporting the Agricultural side of work, carrying tool and whatnot wherever they are needed as well as being used for the odd adventure. Glad to be a part of the forum and look forward to speaking to you guys!

Hello Luke and welcome to the zone, I like that tractor. I have nothing to do with agriculture but the older I get the more I fancy owning a tractor, mind you, I was looking at double decker buses on eBay earlier, wife soon crushed any dreams I was having.

Thanks Col! It's the machine that the poor disco seems to chase about carrying spare spools of net and wrap, tools and various vital fluids hahaha! But the luxury makes it a touch more bearable! I'm certain there is something in a blokes genes that gives us an attraction to kit with big engine and big wheels and a big thirst for diesel!

Welcome aboard :)

That picture could have been taken here! blue discovery ( OK yours is newer :)) and a proper tractor ;) ( all Massey here, and I am quite a fan :) )

Goes to show how many like minded people there are here haha the Massey sure is a proper machine! Supposedly the best model they made, certainly sounds the part. Absolute brute! Hopefully the disco will be after a re-map ;) I agree nothing will match the defender but this time I've taken the cheaper more comfortable route of cream leather ;)

I've often wondered, how the frig do you keep cream leather interiors clean? I imagine it's not much of a problem for a city toff driving his jaguar but most is on here have a constant aura of oil about us, even after a long shower.

Most blue round here have had their share of nightmares, but have to admit I wouldn't buy any of the new masseys! To be honest Col I've been pleasantly suprised with the leather! I've been jumping in and out after doing oil services on the gear and it sort of wipes clean! Just a bit of a taint but I'm buying a seat cover anyway!
