Aslong as its a gwnuine low miler in mint condition un molested its worth it. If i had the money and I wanted a go anywhere low maintainance everyday vehicle you couldn't go wrong with a 200 tdi defender station wagon. IMO.

Woz good to meet Rachel too. Nice to have fellow female company. Not that I feel uncomfortable with all the testerone around you understand. We just like to talk about everything except cars

Well there we go... a little rain and everyone's out for the evening! Well Jai, meself and Phil at least.

Did a few lanes, recuited a couple of new guys who may or may not show up on here when they get round to it... everything was suitably muddy and covered in water. Yummy!

Took all the kids and they enmjoyed it no end... the damn windscreen keeps misting up though. Gonna have to do something about my fan methinks!

Yes was a really great nite out for a last min thing.

Well after chris left we went to the local fords redborn was not really any deeper but thought we should check out batford.

Well when we pulled up all i could do was

i have never seen it that deep the water level was well up on the tarmac so had to give it a go and yes it was very deep and i got soaking wet feet as it was over my trainer inside the car

Jai and the new lad paul filmed it so hopefull the video will be up on here soon.

As for the drive back lower luton road was no road but a river it self most of the way .

WOW! Deeper than the last time then Phil! Almost surprised you decided to still drive it!

Bloody deep Standon like enough to make the rear ends of the 90 try and lift off and loose traction which is mad cos i have all my tools in the back and it was on the limit.

The drop into the start of the ford it gets quite a bit deeper over the bonnet most of it.

It does get a bit hairy in a 90 in deep water. my old one used to try and float away with those 33s on it. god knows what 37s would be like.

I was amazed cos the back of mine was stacked with a tool chest all my tools even a strimmer waffle boards you name it it was in the back and it tried to lift reckon without the tools I woulda had some fun missing the hidden wall.

I think we need to have a major meet up somtime this year mabe if everyone is willing get a weekend set up and try and get a xmas bash going:

Herts Laners Xmas Bash,

SAT,

Orienteering/treasure hunt greenlanes roads,
Pub lunch/meeting point chat and BS, gives everyone time to get together again,
Afternoon mabe do some more lanes and end up somwhere for a kind of xmas dinner.

Sunday P&P with somekind of plan like a non damaging punch event, collecting clues and a blindfolded section and keeping eggs in a saucer All non damaging none of us want to break our motors just a fun day P&P with a mission opposed to aimless driving about destroying motors. Have done all of these in the past and always provide many giggles especially for the kids that can also drive when they beat their parents
