Hertfordshire Lanes?????

Ok so as there is no plan for the pub meet as yet. so i will put forward a suggestion see what everyone thinks:

Ok the Nov 5th is out bonfire night, so i think we should meet on thursday 6th Nov at the usual monthly watering hole anyone wanting directions or info just Pm me and i will send the info to you asap is that ok with everyone? Jai

Lmao Nahh mate just Dumb i guess ... Im slowly destroying anything made of plastic on it, ie bumper end caps lol front valance ,, I saw another Pristine Disco Arden and mine was looking very battle scarred lol ..

I blame you lot for showing me a great time every time lol ..:D each tme im out i want more more and all i think about at work is when me next fix is coming from , does that make me a green laning junkie :eek:

wd should all carry lane forms so wd can keep record any that need clearing and in back and have another day of fun clearing up ..

Great Idea Jai ,,, Im up for looking after our lanes that we use, or any that need some tlc , It will be good to use our own iniative to make good an overgrown or a lane that has been fly tipped on , as ive seen a couple were some ........ Loser has dumped on ...

all we need is few good hands ..

I'd be up for some hard work too ..... my disco's good for moving stuff as i only have the front seats in ;)
 
Aren't there all kinds of hoops to jump through if you are going to work on a lane? Didn't I read something about risk assessments and council co-operation? I could be wrong of course and certainly not trying to put a damper on the idea... Just wondering whether we would need to involve an authority?
 
Ryder you are kind of right with the lane clearance issues, although I will look into it furthur. Ok here's a question for you?

Anyone that knows me well, knows that I'm not the biggist GLASS fan. I personally have some issues with some of their guidelines and how they go about their buisness, but saying that I think it could be worth consulting the Beds Rep and mabe a few of us offering our services for the good of the lanes. Mabe (Suggestion only) send him an invite to the pub meet see what he can suggest. These are suggestions the last thing I want to do is make our low key informal social pub meet into a Glass organised thing. I believe we are doing well as we are and I personally like it the way it is. What-do-ya-fink?? Jai

I do not think that a group of people who want to do their best for the environment have to have a committee. We are simply a group of like minded individuals from all walks of life who have a vested interest in the maintenance of our lanes. The invitation is a great idea, and I am sure that all of our group would make the guest welcome.

Personally Rose and I believe that we would like to clear up the slip end lane from the remnants of stolen cars and dumped stuff... nothing dirty or dangerous but there are paddling pools and bumpers n stuff that have been there for months. These are the things that provide ammo for antis.
 
i know the herts and beds GLASS rep personally, so if we wish to contact him thats easy, a really really nice bloke who will back and support us to the hills, btw he has thanked glenn and the others (via me) who moved the big concrete block from the end of the lane that time, the council are in the process of taking legal action against the farmer.
