I recon that lane in Essex is dry enough to do now without ending up in the river. Can't do this weekend, but maybe the one after.

Good to see everyone last night.

Hi all,

Which lane is this? would rather not end up in the drink, whats that longest recovery record now

I'm planning an afternoons laning this Sunday around mid / west Essex. Hopefully a ford or two - Good Easter?
Starting in halstead. So far only 2 of us (uk-spike & myself)
If anyone is about would be good to meet a few new faces.

Planning on a 12:30 start just outside of Halstead. if your interested PM me and I'll email over meeting point.
Any changes to plans and I'll update on the Essex Lanes thread.

Cheers Nick.

I can't do this weekend, but can next.

I'll walk the lane first of course, I've driven it twice before and it is a bit on the narrow side in places, focuses the mind some what.

Great... not only will the mind be focussed but the arsehole will be well and truly exercised as well!:D

Went to Essex last weekend, got stuck twice on the lane near Stapleford Abbotts golf course, nothing serious, probably would have been ok with some decent tyres. It's pretty rutted though if you going that way.
Can't do Sunday, but if anyones about on Saturday....

The main lane has been resurfaced, it's only the easy track through the trees that's as it was. Nice little lane though, but the original one was a real challenge, just ask Classic Kev, Leonberger and Booger:D

Yeah, saw the nice gravel drive, didn't see much point in going that way though. The one through the trees was the muddiest thing I've done at places (appart from a tank trap I got stuck in a couple of weeks ago)

Oh yeah... got propper stuck there - Spyderman couldn't pull the Rangie out, Gibbo couldn't winch it out that was right messy!! In the end though all it took was a high lift, a couple of waffle boards and Kris 300tdi in his Suzuki

O that place, yes it was a proppa hoot :D

Yes I never got stuck... as I believe being unable to procede through the biggest muddy hole, no matter how hard you hit it, is not the same as being stuck :D

Beaker on the other hand

I do belive I wasn't out on that trip! :p

You were there, on road tyres, Carpy towed you all the way, in fact at one point you were both stuck and had to winch off each other :D

Or did I imagine that :D

Of course there were two trips right after each other, think you and carpy were on the second one....
