Lol,

Ryder has a new method of driving lanes. You can always guarantee to test your recovery gear in the most extreme conditions England has to offer! For instance in the wet, in the middle of the night/early morning, up to your Nads in water, (my favourite) just about everywhere I think is covered even changing tyres in the absolute ****ing rain. Then again you've not been stuck for a while now Ryder whats up?

The Ministry of Defence have asked him to take out the short list of SAS recruits for a days laning but none of them are tough enough.

Oooooh you're all so harsh!

I haven't been proper stuck for a long time for a long time (if you ignore the last time of course)

hi all,
cheers for the welcome.
i have a new OS map, and i have highlighted all the public byways(open to all traffic??).

jai- good to know you are near by. i am in round green.

i have a def 90, 300tdi and it has a hd winch bumper and winch.
i dont have any straps yet, but i have just got a set of sand ladders/bridgeing boards.

ryder- that would be good mate.

just got to sort out a weird droning/worbling/vibrating noise that the 90 has developed after driving through a ford. only really there when accelerating or in 4th/5th under load?????
thinking it is the prop, but not sure??

oh well, more money.

Dave

Hi Dave,
Your best bet is to get a rope for recovery nylon 24mm rated at 8 tonnes will serve you well keep the strops for winching. Give me a couple of days to get punctures sorted and I'll be about

er i used to goto paddocks but they stopped selling real ropes now its only straps. i think mine was about 30 quid for an 8 meter there are some good sites when I googled nylon 8 tonne rope
