Been away a bit recently just been catching up. Tis quiet on here but I guess just a sign o' the times.

Rangie has been playing up - mystery misfire (again, still) but think I might have it licked, found a dodgey connection to the coil and a melted wire on to the solonoid. Seemed fine this evening but time will tell.

Jai, sounds like you up to your elbows (as usual!) If you need a hand with the V8 you know where to find me.

just got my disco back from the garage and it only failed on 2 things one was the headlights not bright enough and the other was my fault because i didn't put the exhaust on before i took it there so they couldn't do the emissions test so it failed on that aswell but hopefully by the end of the week it will be up and running.

What garage did you take it to? Depending on where the rust is it should have failed on that aswell I thought thats why Jamie sold it? I may be wrong tho Well done Offroader

it is a garage i have been going to for years down near me,i said to him i was expecting it to fail because of the wings but he said it wasn't that serious.i showed another garage and they said the same,i will replace them soon tho because they wont last for to long as they are.

Two weels till everything closes, seems silly not get some lanes done. Sorry guys but I don't think Ill be makig any of them before they close.

I'm well busy so much happening, my heads crazy. Ive set myself a date that the boat project should be done by. Maiden powered floatation/sinking test to be held on a local canal just before London2brighton. Engine starts every flick now, very reliabe. On the other hand the gearbox needs sealing up and some mega thick oil put in.

The Disco is having its MOT this weekend. Then it is insurance and tax time at the end of the month. I think I'll be going to poorville!

Thank you my friend, 'tis appreciated. I'll have a look at it tomorrow and if I can't get it sorted I'll give him a call and see if a second pair of eyes can see what I can't.

:hysterically_laughi I know I can be a bit daft sometimes but I've never done that.

As it turns out the problem was even more stupid (simple) than that. The connector on the ignition amplifier had come adrift, took me all of 5 seconds to sort it. So running again..... until the next time!

OK once again another quiet day on our favourite thread!

A little warning for those of you who regularly drive the pepperstock lane. Went down there today and found this!





Arranged so that anyone passing at anything greater than about 5 mph would be garotted!

Also it was tied to a small sapling meaning that even if you were in a 4x4 the chances were that you would lose a windscreen!
