No way we are doing santa pod lanes with newbies, basics first! My winch needs a rest! Santa pod lanes can be tough! Sorry guys!

Not saying you can't come it would be nice to get you all out and used to driving the local easier lanes first!

Lets go out for a mellow one first get everyone all the newbies used to the way things should be done driven slowly but fast enough to not get stuck. Make sure everyone inc ourselves have strong recovery points and equipment. sorry to sound like a boring old fart! Take the newbies out have a laugh and a mellow try and keep my roof clean! lol!

The pub meet is July 2nd Roman Way pub newbies/everyone welcome only a get together nothin' too mad. Now its starting to get dark I'm gonna go and fix my hand brake and rear output seal! Jai

OK, This Saturday, how about the Ashwell lanes avoiding Ryder's favourite(He liked it so much he spent 29 hours there) then across around Hertford. None are too scary for newbies. Let's see how things go and then make a date for Santa Pod and Grafham Water lanes.

Ok Ill work my bo**ox off trying to get my landy cleaned out tidy and back in one piece if it all goes to plan I may be able to squeeze a morning but I will confirm Friday eve though its not likley.

I just started chopping up a disco handbrake mount try and get it welded up in reverse so I can fit the 90's cable to it. it will make adjustment so much easier. Plus Spyderman: I still have your snow chains here will get them back to you before the weekend. Jai

Can't normaly do Saturdays have to work in the morning, Got the diff back in the Disco now, was't the lane that recked the diff, but the lack of a metal diff flange spacer that the dealer didn't give me when i coverted the rear prop from a 300tdi to a 200tdi prop.

sorry guys I guess I sounded really negative in the earlier posts. everyone is welcome of course i just like to be cautious thats all dont fancy being stuck for hours better to cover some miles see whats about keeping everyone entertained thats all Jai

Jai,

I understand your sentiments. Better to tell it how it is. I can't say I would fancy being stuck for hours in the outback of beyond and I certainly wouldn't like to think if I get stuck it spoils somebody elses day.

By the way how are your repairs/modifications coming along?

Classic Kev.

Yeah no one wants to get stuck for hours... and hours.... and hours... complete with wife and 4 kids... and hours... and then some!

However... nice to know that even being stuck that long I was never left out on me own so that's reassuring.

Ashwell simple lanes sounds like a smart idea... and lets face it.... they are a lot of fun.

Now can we see whether we can make it past lane 1 on Saturday?

Cheers all

Hey Kris,

get here if you can, if not we can do sundays some weeks but spyderman has things going on this week and alternate sundays are guitar lessons and band rehearsals and so on.

PLUS

no kids school on Sundays so if we get stuck we don't have to worry about a late night! LOL

BTW i was told whaddon is this sunday, is that right Jai?

Ok , i cant wait . im in for Saterday . All we need is a time and place that we can all meet up at ,, So any ideas pm them around . Wondering what the head count is then for Saterday . May drag the wife along too lol ..

Leonberger,
That's great, see you Saturday. as soon as I've sorted things, I'll PM meet details.
BTW do you have a Leonberger, only a very good friend breeds them?

I hear from the Rangie boys, well Alf anyway that Whaddon is on. I might go up there with chains or mabe the new tyres if I can get the rims blasted and mounted in time it really depends on Landy Satus.

Present Status: I have no seats fitted, no batterys, no handbrake or rear end of tranny box. I really wanted to fit my radius arm bushes to the front and mabe fit the salisbury which means shortening the rear propshaft by an inch. No time to do it! So If I can get my finger out and get it sorted after work in the evenings I ll be about!

En-sha Allah! (god willing)!
