Kev, There's always the 'Wicked Lady' in Nomansland between Wheathampstead and St.Albans. Haven't been there for years, but was always a good pub with a big car park.

I seem to remember somebody saying the Rangie boys are coming. Has anybody heard from them?? Have they got a pitch booked? Can somebody touch base with em and find out what they is a doin of?

Looking through the thread I see some interest from Ratty and couple of others; what's the story? Would be nice to have you guys along - all the more the merrier:D

I don't wanna be rude but we'll have to send campsite details to ya and let yoose all make your own arrangements.

The plan as far as I understand it is that Ryder, Jai and Kris are planning to go down to Salisbury on Friday. Everybody else, leave early Saturday morning, RV is Fleet services then on to Salisbury from there.

Next week, I propose we meet, say Tuesday or Wednesday evening say 8:00pm. I'm open to a venue but was thinking a fairly central place between Beds & Herts so how about Wheathampstead or Lemsford, so if anybody knows a decent pub with a big car park please PM details and I will spread it around. can you all let me know which day is best.

Sorry if I've been droning on a bit but there's lots to focus on:eek:

Apart from that, have a good one and I hope we can all hook up soon:)

Hope devon is being kind. I'm up in North Wales (working:eek: ). All I can say is Wheathampstaed is much nicer and the talent aint bad either. Also, Wheathampstead more central for the folks in Herts.

Ratty, no worries mate we'll do that. I will get details of the campsite to you one way or another. Might be easier to PM Discobasher and then book your pitch.

I'm guessin you ain't gonna pop up for a shandy and go back home (but if you do, be glad to see ya) so will post after us lot meet next week. Ow's tha?

If I can count, that's 13. If the Rangey boys come I think that adds 3 so we could be upto 16. Jai/Ryder/Spyderman, can one of you find out if the rangey boys are coming, be nice to have them along.

I think we will have to think of going out in groups of 4 but we can sort that at the time.

Those of you going on Friday, you will need to book an extra night at the campsite.

So I think that has sorted that, maybe. Is everybody happy with that?
 
spoken to Luke from the rangies.

3 vehicles definite. Gave him the phonenumber for the site and he will make their reservations separately to ours.

He may drive down on fri or sat evening, he is unsure which at the moment.
 
Kev I have sugested Crooked chimney as I believe Wicked lady has been changed into gastro pub and not many seats to just drink at.I will call in and check it out on my way home from work Thursday,a s**t job but somebody has got to do "HICK" sorry it.

Already done mate. Luke and two other vehicles are coming but they are making their own bookings at the camp site.

They are not sure whether they will be travelling fri night or sat morning but will hook up with whichever group. I promised to give them a call closer the time.
 
Hi Folks just a little update.

I have spoken to the camp site and we're good for pitches on the Friday as well as the Saturday... for those who want them. The cost of each pitch will be £9.00. (discounted from £12) No restrictions on cooking/bbq or anything.
 
Saturday morning for sure for me and DB. So I can spend as little time in a tent as possible. I reckon I'll be at Fleet services by 9.00 am. Tilshead by 11.00. You lot will probably still be stuck on the Plain somewhere from the night before.
