Up under the rear crossmember above/in front of the wheel well looked terrifying on mine. Jetwash off and I’m not so worried, it was mostly crud not rust

Mine is early ‘95 so you should be fine. Definitely around that area needs most attention though

Decided to tackle my lifting centre'ish console..
First off the handbrake has to come off, this is easy just give it a tug and it pulls off
Tis is what i'm dealing with
Using some superglue and clamps i managed to bond it..
Done
shyte grade photos as i'm using a 10yr old Panasonic camera as my Canon EOS broke!!!
It looks better, however i'm hoping to find either the Rowan cherry wood from the late VSE or the full Autobiography kit including the centre console lid..

This is a light resto on the mirrors as the paint was coming off and making an otherwise nice'ish exterior look a bit drab.
Before.
Lacquer degeneration and peeling paint!!
professional grade masking and the first coat of blue on..
the previous paint was sanded down to the plastic one coat of plastic primer was applied and 3'ish coats of blue.
This is pre lacquer!!
NEXT!!
4'ish coats of lacquer that were wetsanded inbetween to give a glass like appearance..
Done!!

Engine bay was always ok looking but since doing a friends engine bay for a show i had some spare conduit and paint to try out..

Next was the slam panel which had no end of scratches and peeling paint.

I did literally peel the paint off!!

Stripped the front of the car off, 5 min job.
A few screws for the grill a few up top and 2 in the front.
4 13mm bolts and off it comes.
First few coats of paint on.
Also did inside the grill aperture but it rained and got dirty hense the dust!!
This is usually just primer, and an ideal candidate for future rust, this car ain't getting any younger!!

that is masking tape over the sticker hense the paint on it!!
just got to carefully peel it off!!

A planned project for summer, is to rip the interior out and trace every single piece of wiring.
before a new BeCM and door lock is fitted.
got the drivers seat out just need to drop the headliner and rear seats plus plastic trim.

You will need somewhere to store the bits safely too much for in the boot and there’s wires just, so many wires

I have a multi floor Dutch barn to store the bit's once i clean it out..
Hence the "in the summer" bit
Wires aren't too bad i've seen more on older cars

The issues I face
Most of this interior i won't be using..
BECM and random vice.
Did find a set of keys and my Sat Nav Cd's they're the last set 2013 so thats lucky
Oxford leather will be going back in as the stock leather is very worm.
My current storage solution is a "77 silver shadow..

All that in 2 days go for it...32 in the shade here today thought I would paint drop down side panels on 101...but **** in paint shop mixed gloss in stead of semi-mat which the rest of the body is...had already added hardner so just coated panels will speak to supplier.cause he mixed second lot from his own printed code from first batch...****ed off though don't need this...

Def re rub it looks ****e and the heat made it run like water runs everywhere so would have to re-do anyway...I did semi-Matt cause it's going to be an overland 101 not show but used and abused...

When I get the FINAL paperwork to get portugese registration I will start a project thread but can't spend anymore at the moment till it goes through...it's so fustrating paperwork here...youv'e got to listen to the bull**** lies of the people justifying their jobs that they can't do...if you don't live here you really.don't know what the EU is about...
