Help

Just bought a P38 reg Jan 1997 4.6. Lovely thing a few problems I am gradually sorting out. Came with one key fob which I thought was a bit sluggish - being smart i replaced the batteries even i can do that !! Now it does not work remotely and the engine is immobilished - Have tried all sorts of permutations including using the EKA thingy no luck. So it sits there saving on fuel but still dripping oil OH that is the other thing I need to sort out >>>>any suggestions please?

No red light!

check the battery/terminals you need the light to come on b4 u do anythin else

Silly question I know, but the batts are in the right way up arn't they?

Thanks guys batterys could not have been seated properly took them out put them back and it works fine. Paranoid about electrical problems now for that oil leak!

Where's it coming from?

mid vehicle somewhere rear of engine it had a new oil cooler 4 months ago

get under it and give it a good wipe down, then get someone to rev it while you look see where the leak is but i'm guessing rear crank seal or sump gasket!
