can a series 1 disco auto gearbox fit in a defender, would be really appreciated for your help

It can, but it involves a lot of cutting and fiddling...

it would be going onto a 200tdi which was fitted , the gearbox in it now dosent go into reverse or 5th :/

Yebbut is it a defender or disco 200tdi? Why bother, auto defenders are, erm, without wishing to offend...for lazy old gits. A decent LT77 long stick box is easily found..found a perfect one myself for £45

i have spent 2 years rebuilding it god the joys of that 2 years this may chassis up
it started of going into reverse but now it dosent , it is a 200tdi disco

I'm confused, why are you asking about fitting the auto box in a Defender if its a Disco?

Fink he means its a disco engine

Get a defender manual lt77 gearbox, you'll enjoy it more and it'll be worth more.

they can be fitted easy enough but more info on donor parts and what it is fitted to

any ideas on what it could be i started off getting reverse , then it got harder to get now i cant get it unless i propper force it?

it is a diffy but disco engine and gearbox

It doesnt matter...you will have to get the box out to see...get another box, put it in, then recon the one you take out and get money back.
