My questions are -

1 - The current owner says it runs great( I guess he would ) but he has admitted in advance that it struggles to get over 60mph ??
This is a concern - I found this post which gives a long list of things to check -
http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f7/my-200tdi-really-2-5n-130018-3.html

Could it be the tyres ?

2 - anything else I should check , other than leaks , rattles, bad tracking/braking ?

Thank you in advance for your help and advice
Graham

1. U have some info here... http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f8/what-check-when-buying-discovery-131000.html ...concentrate on the warning lights thing too

2. Dont compare a Td5 with a 200tdi when it comes about engine management....nor a disco with a defender

3. If everything else is OK that powerloss thing can be repaired... could be something realated to turbo or even something simpler......IMO doable, some ideas here Td5 power reduced at full throttle - Land Rover Forums - Land Rover Enthusiast Forum
