Can someone help me with timing marks please. I`m doing my injector seals & following the d2 forum guide in wich they show 2 coloured links & say there are slots at the back of sprocket. I have the slot at the front of the sprocket & the 2 bronzey coloured links in 2 different places. Could it be because i had the engine rebuilt they are not lined up right . The 2 coloured links are at about 2`o`clock position when the first injector lobe rises to its highest point. Should I just stick the timing pin in as soon as the 1st injector lobes reaches its highest point.
P.s I did a quick search & am just going to check the thread I found, that states you can see the no`s on the back of the pulley for each lobes highest point. I just need re-assurance as I dont want to bugger something up.

Thank`s in advance, Dan.

Well I found the no.1 on the shaft behind the pulley & the front slot that roughly lines up with tdc & rotated the crank back & forth till the timing pin dropped in the hole. Now how important is it that the cylinder heads drained of fuel ? as for the life of me I cant get the pipe off after getting the plastic collar off & I also cant seem to remove the injectors with a non landy injector slide hammer. Would it be pressurised still with the fuel in there making it difficult to remove the injectors ?

UPDATE. I found a tip on here about using an allen key to prise the injector up wich I did to make room for the injector slide hammer to get underneath & voila, a few more taps & out they popped
