its not the needle , whats happening is that one of the carbs is probably flooding and the fuel is over richening the inlet manifold , which is called a rich cut , as used in aviation circles . You can get the same effect by pulling the ckoke out on a fully warmed up engine , to much fuel for the correct air/fuel ratio. Try feeding one carb at a time with fuel , this will allow the engine to run , and then you can sort out the faulty carb HTSH
