right trying not to moan here is there anybody on this forum that lives remotely near me in fife??
i have spent to date today £700 with all the tools and parts and bits and bobs and the thing really really struggles to start and when does seems to be misfiring, cant get the eas software to work and am so ****ed off now i have £200 left and am wondering to spend my last or just leave it and sell it for whatever someone will give me and just do without a car.
is there anyone that knows that could help me for a fee???
garage bill was out of the question before now its even more out the question with £200:(:(:(:(:(

bought another new battery earlier tested at garage before left and is now dead and coming up with alternator fault its just too much cant take anymore hope theres somone can help or thats it for me

found open hole on underrside of hose between air box and inlet, after maf so have stuck the correct size bung in it and tightened up with hose clip has made little or no diffrence still running really rough and struggling to tick over!!
strong smell of petrol as well i would say

all plug leads are on as they were when i got it they were removed one at a time ant taped up and numbered so as could NOT go wrong i have since rechecked these about 6 times as tape has been left on still and all numbers correspond to the correct cylinders,
the only way these would be wrong would be if they were wrong before i got it

but i already asked about all this in hope someone with same engine/year the coil pack frame to the rear has numbers along it must be for something 1-8 but these do not correspond to the leads to cylinders and was going to try and see if i could match them but the leads dont reach??

This may seem a bit off, but if your too far away for anyone to help you how about calling Home tune? for a few ££ extra (cash in hand) they will help you out loads, and some (not all) have a lot of experience, just a thought and it could save you a lot of ££

if you look on the coil pack, where the leads connect at the back of the engine, there should be some numbers on the meatal bracket. these are the cylinder numbers. it might be worth a final check as v8's will run on 5 cylinders all be it badly!!!
