hi
I’m trying to change the centre tray for a cubby - but the bolts are just turning and turning? Any advice? Looks like I might need to drill them but never done that before?

Sounds like you have loose nuts under ther tray ... or your chubby might be too fat and needs replacing with a Cubby Box.
W4elcome to the madhouse where any sane conversation can be taken literally and/or laterally in order to confuse the poster with either factual stuff or guesses, or even nonsense!
Enjoy your stay.

Lol - it’s a silent ‘h’.....don’t know where it came from

These "nuts" are Rivnuts and rely on a close fit with the the hole they're set into to grip. If they're turning, you need to either:
1. drill 'em out and replace or
2. do as I did and get a pin punch and whack the gripping edges until they bite on the metal of the support.
Option 2 is a temporary fix but might get you enough grip to fix your fatter-than-standard centre box.

It's possible to put some mini-mole grips on the underside that will hold them well enough to tighten a bolt into, but this is a real faff and may need a helper.

Remove the driver seat and access panel and you should be able to reach the underside of the rivnuts and hold them with a pair of mole grips while you undo the bolts.
