Hi
I have just bought, yesterday, a 1999 P38 2.5 DSE Auto , LHD & driven back last from the UK to France, over 850km in snow & ice!! No real problems except after 200km to the port at Dover I stopped, for an hour & when I started again the suspension indicated I had to drive at 55kph (about 30mph) and all four yellow lights remained lit- what has happened?!
The trip button & alarm button does not work on the stalk.
Other faults (!)
The SRS airbag light & fault message appears intermittently
On lowering the suspension to low position the low position light flashes constantly until I jump up & down on the seat and it goes out!! Faulty sensor I guess because then when I try to raise the suspension it won't raise . I have been told to leave the car running with the door open for 5 mins & it will rest & then try to raise the car again.
Are these symptoms signs of future problems & if so with which parts?
I welcome any help & assistance as I am new to these cars...but having sais that the trip was brilliant & not tiring, they seem to be brilliant vehicles!!
